Job Description

This role will be focused on ensuring processes, training and quality procedures are being carried out, improved and managed correctly, aiming for right the first time, every time. Helping to standardize business ways of working (1WOW) You will manage a team of QC leads in their day-to-day tasks. You will also be directly involved in regular audits and be dealing with our client’s quality issues, working on corrective actions and a continuous improvement plan.

Primary focus

  • Coach and mentor quality team in your location;
  • Ensure that the QC team lead follow the correct SGS procedures to check artwork and prepress files;
  • Investigate errors and complete CAR documentation;
  • Suggest / Implement process changes to reduce risk of problems re-occurring. Keep process documentation up to date;
  • Arrange and facilitate training for staff. Keep training records up to date;
  • Conduct Self Improvement Programs or Internal Audits to understand where weaknesses on the process and training may be. Follow these up with corrective actions;
  • Ensure follow-up and reporting on process and KPI’s dashboard;
  • Establish and lead continuous improvement plan;
  • Conduct quality reviews and approve quality actions for your site.

Supporting tasks

  • Drive right the first time in all process design;
  • Coordinate change management activities;
  • Support 1WOW for Asia operations, driving simplification in process;
  • Ensure the local team is aligned and prepared for implementation of initiatives and process changes;
  • Complete any adhoc task assigned by Regional Quality and Process Director.

Performance Management

  • Align process across location, according to target;
  • Improve operations internal KPI’s, according to target;
  • Deliver an effective continuous improvement plan;
  • Right the first time, internal & external according to target;
  • On time delivery according to target;

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years working experience in quality role and at least 3 years in management role.
  • Experience in packaging, graphics or printing a strong advantage, but not essential.
  • Familiarity with common management systems like ISO9001 or ISO14001.
  • Extensive experience with auditing and quality systems.
  • Fluent in both written and spoke English;
  • Conversational level for Asian language(s) / European language(s) is an advantage
  • Proficient in all windows software;
  • Data savvy, able to drive solutions through available tools.
  • High level of interpersonal/ translation/ facilitation skills;
  • Excellent leadership capabilities in managing and inspiring effective solutions;
  • Deliver achievement through drive and initiative;
  • Time management: able to multi-task and prioritise projects according to urgency and importance in order to meet tight deadlines;
  • Reliable: information and reporting provided should be up to date, accurate, and comprehensive;
  • Good interpersonal skills: able to communicate with people at all levels within the business effectively;
  • Proactive, takes charge, seizes opportunities to transform concepts and ideas into actions;
  • Customer focused;
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Flexibility and problem solving skills;
  • Analytical and results driven;
