Job Description
- Provides strategic leadership to the overall finance function at the company ensuring that the function is properly organized, staffed, developed, motivated, and compensated.
- Monitors and directs the implementation of strategic business plans.
- Develops performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction.
- Manages any third parties to which functions have been outsourced.
- Deploys adequate and appropriate financial management and reporting systems, controls, procedures, and processes.
- Drives and ensures optimal cash and working capital management processes and controls.
- Ensures timely monthly closings of company activities, with all financial transactions appropriately entered into the applicable financial management systems and ensures timely preparation of group reporting packages.
- Monitor business plan accomplishment and implementation.
- Produce statutory reports and ensure that all regulatory reporting and compliance obligations are met in a timely manner and simultaneously create insightful internal and external management reporting capabilities.
- Provides and interprets financial information by analysing change and advising accordingly.
- Oversees the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring compliance issues are met and the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with local regulation.
- Drafts timely and complete management responses to audit findings, and follows up on corrective action plans as required.
- Ensures compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures, as well as statutory financial requirements.
- Keep track of changes in financial regulations and legislation and inform appropriately on their effect of the company activity.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- At least seven years experience in Banking or Financial Industry
- Strong experience in Credit & Collections
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
