Front End Developer  

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming, translating UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Reports To: Development Team Lead (Front-End)

• Develop new user-facing features based on requirements
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Build innovative user experience in different platforms and screen sizes
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Integrating the front-end elements into the backend built by your team members.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, programming or related studies
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a development role
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
• Excellent personal organisation and the ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks
• Ability to solve problems and adapt quickly to new web design and application trends
• Comfortable working without routine supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all level of people
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Exceptionally strong JavaScript programming skills
• Expert in any of the modern MV* frameworks such as BackboneJS, EmberJS, VueJS, KnockoutJS, AngularJS, ReactJS
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Experience in any of the mobile hybrid framework such as: PhoneGap, Appcelerator, Ionic Framework, React Native
• Experience in JavaScript task runners such as: Grunt, Gulp, Webpack
• Experience in TDD environment and the use of unit testing suites such as: Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Mocha, QUnit
• Experience in real time application development using real time engine such as: Socket IO, Pusher
• Good eye for detail with pixel perfect accuracy
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
• Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such Git and expert in Git Flow
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
• Basic understanding of PHP server scripting language
• Familiarity of PHP framework such as Laravel or CodeIgniter is a plus
• Willing to work in Ortigas
