Job Description
- Conduct Quality Assurance services through the implementation of a three phase control and oversight system.ie; preparatory phase, initial phase and follow up phase.
- Inspect the contractor’s initial work efforts and provide comments and recommendations as to the Contractor’s adherence to the contract documents and to the safety job hazard analysis.
- Perform review of construction contractors’ or service providers’ daily quality control and safety reports to assure that the quality control operations are adequately documented (including such activities as level of inspections, inspection results, testing procedures and results, deficiency correction actions, etc.) and that work is being performed in a safe manner and provide findings to the management for appropriate action.
- Review ongoing construction work or services being provided to verify that materials and workmanship or services conform to contract requirements and provide findings to the Management.
- Provide daily quality assurance inspections and surveillance of construction contractors’ or service providers’ quality control programs and safety programs and provide findings to management for appropriate action in order to ensure compliance with their contract requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 5 Years experience as QA /QC Lead
- Strong working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work;
- Strong knowledge of the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules;
- Good understanding of project change administration and the effect of the quality aspects of the project;
- Solid understanding of means and methods of construction for civil project work
- Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry.
