Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Human Resources Manager will generally include recruiting & staffing, employee relations, compensation & benefits training & development and organization development.

1. Employment – Recruiting and Staffing

  • Develops and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures of the company.
  • Manages the entire recruiting process together with HR Team: candidate selection, interview, evaluation and job offer.

2. Employee Relations

  • Helps formulate Human Resources policies, rules, regulations and procedures - and ensure these are implemented within the organization.
  • Manages employee grievances,complaints and labor related concerns.
  • Ensures company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements.
  • Helps coach and train managers and supervisors who lead teams or have employees directly reporting to them.
  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship.

3. Compensation

  • Assists the company in establishing wage and salary structure, and pay policies, including bonuses, and raises.
  • Helps make sound recommendations to the company regarding pay policies and practices to recruit and retain superior staff.
  • Monitors all pay practices, and systems for cost effectiveness.

4. Training and Development

  • Leads the implementation of the Performance Management System that includes Performance Development Plans (PDPs), and Employee Development Programs (EDPs).
  • Assists in the development of an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs.
  • Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.

5. Organization Development

  • Assists in the launch and management of a company wide process of organization development to address workforce development, employee retention, organizational structure design, and succession planning.
  • Manages employee communication and feedback within the organization.
  • Identifies and monitors the organization's culture and values to support achievement of company’s goals, and drive growth.
  • Conducts and implements strategic plans and activities to boost employee satisfaction, and improve camaraderie among employees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from College (Human Resources Degree or related field).
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in the same discipline.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.
