Job Description
The position typically reports directly to the Engineering and Operations Team. Responsible for the evaluation of cost proposal of prospective subcontractors for all ongoing projects taking into consideration the budget as prepared by the Engineering Department.
- Initiates the procurement process for subcontracted items for all the ongoing projects.
- Negotiates the cost proposal of the prospective subcontractor with the primary aim of meeting the budget as prepared by the Engineering Department, or if possible to generate savings.
- Coordinates with the project Management Team regarding the technical requirement of the particular items to be subcontracted.
- Prepares evaluation of prospective subcontractor.
- Prepares Notice of Award for the approved subcontractor.
- Coordinates with the Estimating Head regarding pricing of subcontracted item.
- Coordinates with the Purchasing Department regarding the procurement of specialized and imported materials.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Civil Engineering graduate and must be a Board Passer;
- 10-years work experience in the same discipline (sourcing/procurement) in a leadership capacity;
- Proficient in the English language, oral and written;
- Computer literate;
- Analytical, accurate and has attention to detail;
- Effective communication and negotiation skills;
