Höegh Autoliners is a global leader in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services. The company owns and operates approx. 50 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 20 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. Höegh Autoliners is also a leading carrier of second-hand vehicles.

You are a motivated IT professional who is passionate about IT operations, Cloud operations, Application maintenance and Devops. You possess technical and leadership skills, and quality and improvement are in you DNA. As IT Manager you will lead two teams - the IT infrastructure and operations team (both Datacentre and Cloud), and the Application Maintenance and support team. You thrive working with a team of 18 smart, talented engineers. You can both take and give constructive feedback and enjoy active team discussions. You are someone who enjoys challenging work and is curious and driven. You can help us take our production environments to continuous higher levels of quality while maintaining good cost control.

You will be part of IT Management Team and will report directly to Head of IT.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the team and its interaction with stakeholders and colleagues.
• Manage budgets and costs, recruitment and other HR related activities.
• Strategic IT thinking and planning, to create roadmaps and implement them.
• Project management skill since this area will require key strategic projects to be managed and delivered in the coming 3-5 years.

• Bachelors or masters degree with approximately seven (7) years experience leading/managing a team.
• At least three (3) years of experience in being responsible for integration suites and/or business applications operations
• Good English communication skills both oral and written.
• Experience in establishing operational quality metrics for business applications availability
• Experience in establishing business applications monitoring processes/ tools
• Technical experience in datacentre management
• Public Cloud experience is a plus
• Good understanding of business processes and the ability to communicate with business partners and stakeholders.
• Structured approach to work and focus on quality, especially security and reliability.
• Understanding of application servers technologies for application deployment
• Proven project track record and result-driven
