- Works with Service Managers and stakeholders (and clients on as-needed basis) to complete work permit, residency, and/or visa requirements.
- Ensures all paperwork including applications for immigration and visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with third parties on documentation needs (country specific).
- Works with various GSII offices to coordinate with employees in their country.
- Communicates with various government agencies for certification legalization, translation, etc. of documents.
- Initiates case with outside counsel when necessary.
- Collaborates with GE on sponsorship issues.
- Processes Visa and Work Permits where applicable.
- Maintains immigration files for employees on foreign assignments.
- Updates internal systems with appropriate passport and visa information.
- Tracks Visa and work permits progress through the Immigration. “Workqueue”, keeping it updated according to Immigration Department guidelines.
- Helps, if needed, with assigning invoices from vendors.
- Tracks cost immigration related (T&L, legalization, translation, etc…).
- Partners with Operation Team to support Human Capital alignment needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferrably with a Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in HR, Administration, or Immigration.
- Computer Literate.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written correspondence skills
- Ability to prepare detailed reports.
- Ability to flawlessly work with a team.
