Job Description

You will join the People Operations group and be both hands-on and strategic in providing human resources expertise in the areas of hiring, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, and learning and development. This is a true generalist role that will support our Jakarta office. You’ll be an integral part of the Indonesian team, so you’ll need to understand the business and be a thought leader on People and Organizational topics. As a core part of this hands-on work, you will be rolling out programs to support Googlers, including compensation, performance and talent programs as well as finding the most interesting candidates who bring an entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of scrappiness and a diversity of thought to all they do. You're responsible for guiding candidates through our hiring process and connecting them to the magic of working at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Source and attract candidates to meet an annual hiring plan that emphasizes quality and diversity of hires, process efficiency, and strong client management and candidate satisfaction.
  • Manage candidate process and act as a candidate advocate. Evaluate skill level and manage the offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations and offer acceptance/declines.
  • Drive people initiatives within HR and hiring with strong communication, coaching and influencing skills and offer thought-leadership regarding organisational/people-related strategy and execution.
  • Provide relevant data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, organization structure, hiring, attrition, promotions, leadership and employee development and other activities.
  • Partner closely with regional Recruitment, HRBP and People Operations Leads to deliver high value service to client groups and address and manage a broad spectrum of employee relations matters. Resolve employee relation issues through a systematic approach adhering to company policies, local employment laws and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of relevant experience as a HR Business Partner (HRBP), Generalist or Consultant.
  • Experience in HR disciplines and in emerging practices and developments.
  • Indonesian Citizen.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven project management and operations skills with demonstrated ability to manage site wide/organizational projects and initiatives.
  • Strong consulting and coaching skills and the ability to build strong relationships with different people across the organization, both internationally and locally.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data.
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done and with the ability to take part in complex strategy discussions.
  • Exposure to recruiting processes, such as interviewing and candidate evaluation, closing candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages.
