Web Designer  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with the team in creating layout / template designs
• Execute template and non-templated design projects
• Responsible for creating graphic layouts of web banners, promotional poster and branding mock-ups
• Perform ad hoc tasks as may deem necessary or required

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Web Designer is responsible for the design of major and minor Web applications and components for internal and external Insurance system users. He will design, test and deliver web sites, applications and components. Enhancements and defect resolutions will be required on an ongoing basis. Best practices and design methods will be utilized to insure the success of the projects. They will be required to have an intermediate to advanced experience in both web and print as well as motion graphics design.

Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, New Media, Graphic Design or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of web and graphic design experience
• Strong understanding of traditional marketing design, branding and production, including knowledge in print and web mediumsProficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Muse, Flash and other Adobe Creative Cloud software
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/PHP/JAVASCRIPT and media queries is a plus
• Knowledgeable in basic video editing is a plus
• Ability to multitask and work well under tight deadlines
• Must be comfortable working with other nationalities and can work under minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
