Job Description
- Maintains general ledger for payroll transactions
- Oversees internal payroll and accounting audits on a quarterly basis
- Obtains and verifies direct deposit banking information from employees
- Verifies all the employee daily time record details and their appropriate receivables prior to issuing payroll
- Calculates and deducts appropriate amounts from payroll checks, including withholding tax and other garnishments
- Process bi-weekly employee payroll payments on time and through the appropriate mediums
- Maintains payroll information by directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
- Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers' compensation payments.
- Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests of employees.
- Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, resignations in terms of payroll
- Communicate actively with Operations, HR, and Billing to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
- Partner with HR and benefits in aligning and implementing a more sophisticated payroll and benefits system
- Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts
- Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required, licensed CPA is a plus
- At least 3-years experience in human resources, payroll or accounting
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent mathematics and communication skills
- Knows how to work under pressure
- With complete requirements such as NBI, Brgy., Police clearance, COE, SSS, Pag-ibig, Philhealth, TIN, Birth Cert. TOR or Diploma and others
