Job Description
- Overseeing daily transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations)
- Assisting team members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting and management reports.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing.
- Participating in tax audits and payroll.
- Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with International Financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting and government legislations.
- Supervising and providing overall guidance to his/her team members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
- At least 2-3 years experience in supervisory level
- Preferably someone who has worked in an accounting firm and/or finance/accounting department of a multinational company.
- Knowledge in Quickbooks, Sage and MYOB is an advantage.
- Advanced skills on Microsoft Office applications particularly on MS Word, Excel and GSuite tools like Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Detailed Oriented and must be able to process large amounts of numerical data.
- Have strong management and leadership skills.
- Must have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective Communication Skills.
