Job Description
Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineers monitor large computer networks and servers for problems from a central location,They look for hardware, software, and environmental alerts or malfunctions. When an issue is identified, NOC Engineers work to determine the cause of the problem
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application log.
- Support virtualization technology needs by providing and maintaining virtual servers.
- Experience managing, supporting and deploying network infrastructures
- Strong ability to diagnose server or network alerts, events or issues
- Understanding of common information architecture frameworks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Support the direction of the organization with ability to learn new technologies and skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills, and ability to address conflict with others constructively
- Experience with Disaster Recovery plans and related technologies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT related field is preferred.
- 1-2yrs Experience on Linux CentOS and Networking.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Willing to learn
- Knowledge in Basic Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity.
- Knowledge in Linux Server and Windows Server Navigation and Operations
- Good temperament while working under pressure.
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring management (Elk stack, Grafana, Zabbix) is a plus.
- Experience in virtualization technology and Kubernetes is a plus
- Technical troubleshooting skills (patience and determination to find and solve problems)
- Willing to work on a graveyard shift 7pm-4am.
