Marketplace City Health Manager  

What is the role about?

As a leader on the Marketplace team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to transform the reliability of GO-JEK’s services. Working in Indonesia, you’ll be responsible for diving deeper into core Marketplace metrics and creating playbooks on Marketplace Health. Collaborating closely with the Data Science and Business Intelligence teams, you would be leading experimentation for feasibility check of new product ideas and undertaking projects to optimize Marketplace configurations. Teaming up with diverse stakeholders, you would be driving large-scale strategic initiatives, hence it is essential that you command strong communication skills. Leveraging data, market insights, and your creativity, you will be the go-to person for Marketplace health, not just for the Indonesia business, but for other markets as well.

Working closely with our technical groups, data analysts, and business teams, you will be a key player in the success story of GO-JEK’s Marketplace reliability. With any high-growth business, this will be a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you will be doing?

1. Complex Problem Solving - Leveraging world-class data systems, you will analyze various initiatives to inform key business decisions. This will include supply & demand balancing efforts, customer segmentation decisions, feature prioritization, and much more.
2. Strategy Shaping - Build, maintain, and communicate a detailed strategy for the Marketplace Health function.
3. Champion of Best-Practice - Design and lead end-to-end experimentations, document and share best practices from your various learnings. Documentation is how we get smarter, better, and faster.
4. Build Strong Relationships - Engage and empathize with Operations, Fraud and Product teams. You will not be successful without building trust with your stakeholders.
5. Regional Coverage & Communication - Covering Southeast Asia will require strong digital communication (think emails, Whatsapp, web conferencing) and occasional travel.

What you’ll need to succeed?

3. Communication: Strong communication skills. You know how to build trust, set goals, and get things done. You aren’t afraid of using whatever channel (face-to-face, email, Whatsapp) is required.
4. Data-Driven Outlook: When making decisions you leverage technical resources and data to support hypotheses. You can take the basics of data and draw insights from it. Life without Excel terrifies you. SQL, R, Python experience is a plus.
5. Language: Fluency in business-level English is a must. Bhasa, Vietnamese, Thai, or Mandarin/Cantonese would be a bonus.
6. Required Experience: You’ve got prior learnings using data to make decisions, you have a proven track record of building systems and scaling them, you have managed diverse stakeholders with ease.
   1. You are an expert in Microsoft Office & Google-Suite products.
   2. You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
   3. You have 2 years in a professional role in a relevant field.
