Job Description
- Reviews all structural plans and specifications and verifies purchase requisition of materials, supplies, and services (PRMSS) and material requisition and canvas sheets (MRCS) submitted by requesting party and sees to it that it is duly signed by authorized signatories;
- Checks all specification requirement on purchase requisition (PRMSS) and/or material requisition (MRCS) to make sure that all specification and requirements are clearly stated, quantities and date required by the requesting party thoroughly considered;
- Review sanitary plans and other plumbing fire and protection plans as may be required;
- Source for new suppliers for various materials and services related to structural specification requirement;
- Procurement of engineering and structural materials;
- Investigate new and existing suppliers’ credibility and ongoing projects;
- Secure consultant-approved specifications prior to sourcing;
- Submit detailed specifications to suppliers for project requirements;
- Evaluation of technical specifications and recommend value engineering;
- Negotiation of prices and technical coordination between project site managers and suppliers to ensure materials to be procured meet the project requirements;
- Coordinate with Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors/Suppliers;
- Prepare canvas sheet for the cost comparison of the suppliers’ best offer prior to approval;
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure that all pertinent terms and conditions are clearly detailed and documented;
- Prepare down payment endorsement of suppliers and other payment endorsements as may be required;
- Monitor down payment and other terms of payment of suppliers’ concern;
- Conduct inspection at suppliers’ fabrication yard and warehouse to check the quality and quantity of materials purchased;
- Prepare and submit a monitoring record of delivery schedule for all local suppliers;
- Monitor imported goods shipment/delivery from fabrication, delivery to the port of origin, arrival at Manila and other port areas;
- Manage/keep all purchase documentation in order;
- Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Immediate Superior from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must be a graduate of Civil Engineering;
- Preferably with experience in Procurement;
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Candidate must be willing to work in BGC, Taguig.
