Job Description

A Sales Coordinator serves as a liaison between sales teams, various departments, and between sales personnel and current or future clients. Responsible for supporting the company Sales Team and ensuring that they have the tools, support, and resources needed to set them apart from the competition.

  • Participate in all the sales related activity of the company.
  • Handling a high volume of customer inquiries whilst providing a high quality of service to each caller.
  • Tracking sales orders to ensure that they are scheduled and sent out on time.
  • Ordering and ensuring the delivery of goods to customers.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as data input, processing information, completing paperwork and filing documents.
  • Resolving any sales related issues with customers.
  • Completing the administrative needs of the Department.
  • Making follow-up calls to confirm sales orders or delivery dates.
  • Responding to delivery queries via phone and e-mail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in order fulfillment; experience as a sales coordinator, customer service or in other administrative positions will be considered a plus;
  • Communication: The job holder will need to communicate politely and responsibly with our clients, also with all team members, other departments.
  • Good judgment and decision making: The jobholder will sometimes be required to make quick decisions relating to client requests. The job holder must be assertive in doing this but must also know when to advise that an immediate decision cannot be made – rather than promising something that cannot be delivered.
  • Concentration: Attention to detail is essential at all times to ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Time management is the essence and the job holder must be confident that they can deal with a number of things at any one time and constantly re-evaluate priorities.
  • Original thought and problem-solving: The jobholder will need to liaise well with all team members to ensure that the optimum solution is given to any problem which might arise.
  • Flexibility: The jobholder must be flexible in terms of working hours as business demands can often change at the last minute. The role is generally business hours; however, some evening work will be required.
