Job Description
The Inventory Audit Head is responsible for making sure that the entire Inventory audit department performs its duty of safeguarding company stocks. He does this by ensuring:
- Continuous accuracy check of perpetual inventory stock quantity records for material control and accounting purposes.
- Discrepancies are investigated, errors are located, corrective actions are initiated.
- The operating management is advised on inventory or accounting problems and improvements to the system are recommended.
- All inventory transactions, errors, and reports are monitored and form part of the department’s responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Since you will be communicating with managers and head office personnel, HR and Accounting frequently; both in person and through other channels of communication: it helps to have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Inventory auditors work as part of a team so being able to communicate ideas and other priorities is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
