Job Description
- Expand destination portfolio identifying new opportunities, analyzing hotel market in the destination, leading the negotiation process for increasing booking volume in the destination.
- Ensure that each destination has a tailored annual marketing plan, including offline and digital destination-specific campaigns throughout the year, leveraging national campaigns wherever possible and adapting to business needs as they arise
- Build, promote and execute destination marketing activity and perform execution for assigned destinations
- Partner with colleagues in other primary and secondary destinations to build outbound source-market activity across markets
- Develop manage and measure impact of a Marketing Strategy
Minimum Qualifications
- The candidate will probably have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a fast moving dynamic marketing role.
- Ability to do the following:
- Work with local agencies to create the Brand essence of Reading and develop a communication plan which has proof point on the uniqueness of Reading, both locally, nationally and Internationally
- Work with local tourist agencies to create Reading as a premier tourist destination.
- Work with major corporate companies and Organizations to attract and retain overseas investment
- Work with local Business to enhance the reputation of Reading as a great place to invest.
- Multi-task including managing conflicting priorities and multiple projects
- Working under pressure to meet deadlines and to deliver outcomes in a climate of change
- Strong Communications Planning understanding which will have been developed through customer/market insight.
- Understand multichannel communications including the latest trends in Social media.
