Trade Promotion Officer  

GPCCI is a proud member of the German Chamber Network (AHK) - the official representation of German Chambers of Commerce abroad with more than 130 Offices in 90 Countries. Each AHK upholds the interests of the economy of Germany and the respective host country with the aim of promoting trade in both directions.

We are currently seeking a motivated full-time employee in Trade Promotion.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for providing support services in the areas of Business Development, Market entry consulting, Research, and Event Management.

Principal Accountabilities

Market Entry Consulting:

• Guide and consult German companies in their market entry.
• Consult about doing business in the Philippines and other relevant topics.
• Research on appropriate companies for business matching.
• Arrange meetings and coordinate appointments during clients' visit such as scoping missions with local resource persons.
• Research for particular market potentials of a client such as market studies.
• Research on doing business in the Philippines: Trade and Investment topics.

New Business:

• Assist in the regular promotion of GPCCI’s services at trade shows or conferences and represent the Trade Promotion department.
• Ensure acquisition of activities through consultation.
• Establish contact with the government and private sector with the aim of developing new businesses for the Chamber.

Delegation Management:

• Organize and prepare conferences or workshops and visit programs of business delegations.
• Ensure Speaker coordination.
• Arrange meetings for Delegates and coordinate appointments with meeting partners.
• Report towards public Principals.

• University degree in a relevant field, preferably Economics or Business Management.
• At least two years of international working experience in the field of Business Development or Trade Promotion.
• Knowledgeable about the Philippine economy, trade, and business.
• Computer literate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good research skills.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, business, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Customer friendly and accommodating attitude.
