Job Description
Garena Philippines Inc., a gaming and internet company located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig is looking for a Purchasing Officer to directly support its HR and Administration department.
This position will also serve as a bridge between employees, managers, suppliers, and sponsors in multiple locations. The company will require the successful candidate to efficiently multi-task while professionally representing the department and Garena Philippines Inc.
The Purchasing Officer will buy products that are essential for the company’s day-to-day operations, review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels. Responsibilities also include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs., good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure most profitable offers will be identified. Ultimately, create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential vendors
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality of purchased products
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
- Preferably 2-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Negotiation skills
