IT Business Analyst  

• Conduct interviews with users as part of the systems analysis stage of systems development
• Coordinate with users in preparing output requirements specifications document
• Coordinate with users in preparing data flow diagram (DFD) of present system
• Coordinate with users in preparing entity-relationship diagram (ERD)
• Analyze user output requirements, present system process flow, DFD and ERD in preparation for data modeling activity for simple to moderately difficult applications
• Prepare the database design (relational data model) of the proposed system for simple to moderately difficult applications
• Prepare the proposed system data flow diagram for simple to moderately difficult applications
• Prepare program specifications of the proposed system including screen and report prototypes
• Convey program specifications to programmer for development, or if necessary, handle coding of complex application programs
• Prepare system-level test scripts and test data
• Conduct system-level testing and ensure output requirements are obtained accurately
• Ensure that system-level bugs are identified during system-level testing and correct these before user acceptance testing and eventual deployment
• Lead project team in conducting user training program
• Identify existing system’s data which need to be converted including new reference data for buildup
• Prepare program or procedural specifications for data conversion and convey to programmers for development
• Lead the project team in conducting deployment and cutover of new or enhanced application systems
• Ensure that procedures for backup and recovery, for all deployed/implemented programs per application system assigned, are followed strictly
• Act as system administrator for the applications assigned.

• College graduate of Computer Science of Information Technology – any IT related course
• 3-years experience in Programming and Business Analysis
• Strong analytical skills
• Good communications skills (oral/written)

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledgeable in business processes, computing principles and computing terminology used in describing procedures for using computer hardware and software applications
• Knowledgeable in procedures for technical documentation design and organization
