Job Description
Under a general guidance of and supervision of Accountant and within the limits of established company policies, procedures and Operations Manual, takes full charge of her area/s of responsibility, consults the Accountant as to pertinent information regarding preparation and submission of Accountant’s requirements from store (cash and credit card sales reports, A/R reports, DTR and payroll-related reports, A/P’s), training of Cashiers, store funds management and audit (Master Change Fund, Cashier Fund Bags, Petty Cash), inventory management.
Performs any combination of following calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining store accounting records.
- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Keeps a log of all transmitted documents to support office.
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts, using standard Accounting report template.
- Computes and records employee charges.
- Prepares and forwards requests for disbursement with signature/approval of Operations Manager/Store Manager, of store payables (rental billing, contractor/suppliers’ billing, etc. )
- Prepares and requests for replenishment of Store Petty Cash Fund with signature and approval of Operations Manager/Store Manager.
- Prepares DTR summary with ATD’s on employee charges, attached.
- Secure new and/or renewal business-related permits from concerned government agencies (e.g. Quarterly Tax assessment, renewal of Business Permit)
