Product Manager  

The role of the “Product Manager” is to lead the product development, and continually look at ways to improve Freelancer.com’s products or product component areas. You will work with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and analyse potential enhancements to existing products and the functionality, features and design of new products. You will take ownership of assigned product. You will be supported by a Senior Product Manager in Sydney for guidance and a large group of Statisticians who can give insight into consumer behaviour.

Your duties would include:

• Continuously refines requirements
• Being the voice of the Stakeholder and represent the best interests of the business
• Managing stakeholder relationships, communications & expectations
• Accountable for the vision, scope and scale of the product
• Defines key features of the product & success criteria
• Sets delivery schedule by managing the backlog – creates and updates the release plan, including prioritization
• Accountable for the project success
• Decides on release date, content and budget
• Accepts and rejects work in the sprint reviews
• Takes advice from the team on Backlog Dependencies
• Single point of contact for the product (including New requirements Prioritizing backlog items)

• Experience with an agile project management methodology. SCRUM is preferred, but not required.
• Experience working closely with software/web developers. Preferred former developer, but not required.
• Strong mathematical, statistics or data manipulation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with in a matrix, mutli-stakeholder organisation.
• Understanding of products and A/B testing
• Experience with programming, relational databases and SQL is a plus
