Job Description
Primary responsibilities are outlined below:
Operational/Functional:
- Create model and maintain detailed analyses to evaluate key sales and performance metrics
- Provide analytics summary including results of market survey which will be gathered in conjunction with BDS to the BDM to update strategic
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Provide analysis that provides focus to BDS and BDM optimizing both sales performance and/or growing portfolio growth
- Develop and analyze data models to identify key trends and articulate findings in easily digestible format to key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain KPI reports for sales team.
- Design and build effective presentations.
- Perform detailed market research on supply/demand fundamentals, economic trends, comparable sales and other factors impacting frozen food industry performance.
- Support sales team in with gap/variance analysis.
- Assist in the annual goal setting process in conjunction with the BDM.
- Prepare and analyze reporting for quarterly performance review meetings, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Other duties as assigned
Financial Management:
- Perform detailed revenue analysis by market segment and distribution channel to inform modeling of future performance and resource allocation Leading with Passion
- Lead by example and operate with integrity and respect ensuring success of department and company.
Job Specifications:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Data analysis – the ability to assess data sets and identify patterns and opportunities for improvement is the sales analyst’s primary skill
- Financial forecasting – effective projection and forecasting skills are also vital in this role, as sales analysts guide investment and help companies better utilize cash and personnel
- Presentation skills – sales analysts need to present their findings, along with forecasts and projections, to executives and management personnel, so effective presentation skills are a necessity
- Team coordination – because they work with marketing and sales teams to drive revenue growth, sales analysts need to coordinate team activities and have strong leadership skills
- Communication skills – sales analysts rely heavily on both written and verbal communication to work with departments and personnel across teams and business lines
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency;
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role as lead or assistant
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a frozen food organization is a plus.
- Exceptional organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
