Tax Deputy Manager  

Job Responsibilities:

• Examines documents and financial records of all types to determine the correct taxes of the company and its affiliates
• Review tax returns to ensure correct and on-time submission
• Provides support with tax-related projects
• Monitors developments in tax laws and memorandum of regulatory bodies
• Reviews payroll of Group employees, as well as compliance with statutory contributions
• Makes recommendation for regulatory compliance and tax efficiency
• Coordinates with external auditors during annual and interim audits
• Ensures FS and ITR are filed on time with the appropriate regulatory body
• Execute ad-hoc analysis and data mining as needed by manager
• Assists Finance and Accounting Head during tax and other regulatory audit.
• Manages and mentors’ members of the team to higher level of effectiveness and engagement.
• Displays up to date technical knowledge by attending all mandatory tax training within deadlines set and applying this training to tax work where appropriate.
• Displays an awareness of potential planning opportunities associated with the local tax environment by identifying and escalating them as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 5 years of experience and extensive knowledge of tax law.
• Working experience in the Big 4 Audit firms is an advantage with a real estate client.
• Can work independently or with others in a team.
• Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Can multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and accounting systems.
• Self-driven and able to thrive under tight deadlines and withstand taxing workloads.
• Strong accounting ability, Analytical and Research Skills.
• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
• Willing to work on-site in McKinley, Taguig City.
