Job Description
- Reports directly to the Strategic Sourcing Head.
- Understand technical requirements and specifications of materials and equipment; and conduct engineering analysis that will complement the strategic sourcing of suppliers.
- Conduct data analysis based on latest news and research; and create a buying strategy.
- Solicit competitive bids for requests (i.e. for quotations and proposals) and attend trade shows, meet wholesalers, and visit stores or manufacturing plants of suppliers.
- Establish and manage contracts/partnerships with new suppliers; meet and negotiate with suppliers to agree on prices, terms of payment and delivery, and other purchase requirements to ensure the acquisition of items within our means and budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in sourcing and purchasing.
- Experienced in price negotiations and managing partner suppliers.
- Able to conduct technical/engineering analysis on specifications of items requested for purchase.
- Has background in purchase management.
- Able to provide comprehensive buying reports.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
