Wordpress Developer & Graphic Designer  

We are looking for a full time, in-house Wordpress Design Editor and Graphics Designer.

We are interested in a committed, long-term partnership who can transition from improving the Wordpress design of our site to managing our multiple graphics requirements of the content team.

Graphic designers create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports.

Graphic designers combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images and the layout of websites and printed pages. They may use a variety of design elements to achieve artistic or decorative effects.

Graphic designers work with both text and images. They often select the type, font, size, color, and line length of headlines, headings, and text. Graphic designers also decide how images and text will go together on a print or webpage, including how much space each will have. When using text in layouts, graphic designers collaborate closely with writers who choose the words and decide whether the words will be put into paragraphs, lists, or tables. Through the use of images, text, and color, graphic designers can transform statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams, which can make complex ideas more accessible.

This role is versatile, the responsibilities will be a mixture of creating graphics for:

• Blog posts
• Social Media posts
• Social Media company graphics
• Logo design
• Branding
• YouTube Thumbnails
• Website design/elements on our website
• Photography edits

These will all be handled by one person. there's a lot of content being pushed on various channels and your skill set will be called upon to help enhance every aspect before it gets published - we're wanting to build Finance District to be a leader in the finance broking space and require a skilled graphic designer to help us get there.

• BS degree in computer engineering, design studies or related field
• At least 3-years of coding and UX experience or jobs in other related fields
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing
• Demonstrable editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
• Actively participated in independent projects locally or internationally
• Knowledgeable on Wordpress CSS and graphic design
• Strong command of the English language
• Good communication and presentation skills

• Must have a high-speed Internet connection at home (at least 5 MBPS)
