Job Description
Job Description:
- Coordination with customers regarding Bilateral Contract Quantities (BCQ) declarations and other concerns related to contracted quantities.
- Coordination with System Operator, Market Operator and plant operation personnel on day-to-day operations
- Formulate generator bids and offers that optimizes profit and balances plant efficiency/reliability
- Preparation and submission of accurate BCQs to the WESM/IMEM
- Optimization of Bilateral Contract Quantities
- Regularly update the Trading Database (e.g., market prices, demand, etc.)
- Ensure every market transaction made complies to the WESM rules
- Submission of reportorial requirements pertaining to WESM Compliance
- Submission of daily and weekly reports on trading operations and electricity market status.
- To perform other duties related to the function and department’s operation from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering,Economics, Business courses, Mathematics and applied Sciences or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 year relevant experience in the electric power industry and/or electricity trading. With preference to candidates with a working knowledge and understanding of WESM, EPIRA, Grid Code and RCOA.
- Required Skill(s):
- Strong analytical skills with high comprehension abilities.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access).
- Knowledge in database programming and programming languages such as C++, VB.NET, Python, MATLAB and R is an advantage .
