Job Description
The Building Engineer is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and repair of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, tenant requests, as well as other tasks that may be assigned by the Property Head.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilities Operation and Maintenance
- Oversee facilities operation and preventive maintenance
- Coordination and supervision of third party providers
- Supervise and schedule works of building technicians, plumbers and BMS operators
- Implement and oversee ISO procedures
- Reporting
- Conduct daily and weekly accomplishment reports
- Handle all safety and technical audit findings up to completion
- Provide support in generation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports including annual CAPEX & OPEX budgeting
- Implementation of Projects
- Oversee repairs and installation works of equipment and on-going projects
- Prepare purchase requests and terms of reference for CAPEX projects and operation requirements
- Testing and commissioning of newly installed equipment
- Inspection of on-going fit-out works, ensure compliance to the plans, specifications and building guidelines
- Undertake and accomplish work assignments given by the Building Manager and/or Property Head from time to time
- Proper turn-over of information, instruction and undertakings to incoming engineers
- Provide in-house seminar and trainings covered by subordinates
- Conduct best practices and trainings on maintenance group
- Other tasks and improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Engineering (Electrical)
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in related field is required for this position.
- Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
- Able to communicate well both in oral and written
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and direction
- Computer literate
