FilAm Software Technology is seeking a highly motivated, talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist who is passionate about driving real world change by applying machine learning, predictive models and optimization techniques to achieve unparalleled insight and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead work efforts with large, complex data sets applying machine learning, predictive modeling and advanced analytical techniques to create scalable solutions to real world business problems
• Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of data to help automate and optimize key processes
• Discover, interpret and document unique insights in large-scale datasets through exploratory analyses and the application of advanced analytical methodologies
• Identify & create the appropriate algorithm to discover patterns
• Develop and evaluate innovative models for classification, prediction and recommendation
• Deliver projects following internal frameworks
• Measure modeling impacts for iterative improvements
• Make business recommendations (e.g. cost-benefit, forecasting, experiment analysis) with effective presentations of findings
• Collaborate well with interdisciplinary team including pipelining Engineers and Data Analysts

• Graduate ( PhD and/or Masters) degree in Quantitative Field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or Operations Research)
• 5+ years relevant experience with a proven track record of leveraging massive amounts and performing advanced quantitative analyses
• Strong, proven analytic and quantitative analysis skills (e.g. Spotting trends and opportunities in data, datamining, data modeling, analyzing high-volume and multi-dimensional data from varying sources using different quantitative approaches (e.g. Statistics, Machine learning methods etc.)
• Deep expertise and experience with statistical data analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods
• Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of robust Statistical techniques and application of Statistical Tools to analyze large datasets (particularly in tools such as R, SAS or Python)
• Extensive understanding of Machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Proven skills in creative problem solving and an ability to apply them in the context of a fast-paced environment on real world problems
• Excellent oral and written English business skills
