Job Description
- Evaluate purchase requests considering the specifications, availability, and price of the item.
- Conduct preliminary canvassing validation on possible suppliers (i.e., locate sources of supply, obtain price quotations through formal and informal procedures, schedule vendor audit and ocular inspection, select vendors and place purchase orders)
- Approve purchase requests based on the result of the pre-canvassing validation.
- Ensure on-time delivery of purchased items.
- Handle vendor-related concerns such as correspondence on purchases, price adjustments, the return of defective or incorrect materials, purchase order cancellation, present claims for underrun/overrun, assessment of what/how/why material was delivered incorrectly or damaged (for non-conformances), improvement of product quality (recommendation only)
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicant must be a graduate of BS Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent
- Must have at least five (5) years of work experience in the related field, background in Planning or experience in Pharma Company is a plus
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Must know the basics of telephone etiquette and knows know to maximize the use of Yellow Page and Google Search
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
