Job Description
- Implements programs, activities and policies designed to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conducts regular safety audit including the inspection of facilities, equipment, safety devices and work practices to ensure compliance with the required safety standards.
- Responsible for facilities, clinic, and crisis management
- Conducts investigation of accidents and submits separate report and analysis of accident to immediate superior. Recommends and implements measures to prevent recurrence of accident;
- Keeps records and coordinates the compilation of information necessary for Risk Management files and reports.
- Assists departments to establish standards and controls or work processes specific to departmental operations in order to minimize or eliminate hazards.
- Coordinates with various government, professional and civic agencies and organizations on matters concerning the promotion, maintenance and/or compliance of industrial and environmental safety practice and activities.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment, permits, insurance, health, fire, safety system, facility renovation and construction.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; maintains proper documentation to conform to the reportorial requirements of Department of Labor and Employment and other government agencies as may be required by law.
- Recommends and provides individual counseling, and on-site and classroom training to staff on safety topics such as ergonomics, driving safety, personal protective equipment, and lifting/back safety, first-aid and other related safety topics.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Collegiate degree in Human Resources Management, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Nursing, Psychology, Liberal Arts, or related field of study.
- BOSH certification or OSH Practitioner is required for this position
- 1-2 years of work experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate team and carry out programs, projects, and process improvements
- With functional computer skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability and willingness to engage in multi-tasking job and assignments beyond designated duties.
- Well organized, able to prioritize, follow through, and maintain focus
- Willing to work in Newport City, Pasay City
- LOCAL Employment only (office based)
- Can start as soon as possible
