Position Description: Accountant II
Basic Function: The Fixed Asset Accountant I position is accountable for accounting and reporting of Fixed Assets.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Review of additions (compare Invoice, PO and Asset Receipt forms)
- Create Assets in subsidiary ledger
- Execute asset disposal, asset transfer, intercompany transfer and cost adjustment in accounting system as required
- Prepare Roll Forward reconciliation for Fixed Asset related accounts
- Reconcile and clean up Fixed Asset suspense account
- Prepare various Fixed Asset reports as needed by stakeholders
- Execute month end tasks activities relating to Fixed Asset transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, reclassification and other adjusting journal entries
- Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
- Support SOX requirements as required by Finance.
- Track company CAP expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to approved capital budget.
- Identify and implement process improvements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years general accounting experience
- Minimum 2 years fixed asset accounting experience
- A graduate of BS Accountancy
- Preferably CPA
- Experience working with internal/external auditors
- Oracle knowledge a plus
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to communicate with foreign counterparts and senior leaders
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders
- Advance excel skills
- Has good analytical skill
- Can work with minimal supervision
- Amenable to work in night shift working schedule
- Willing to be assigned in BGC, Taguig
