The Sales Development Manager is responsible for:
- Team Management: Manage the day-to-day activities of the sales development team, including assigning tasks, setting goals, and ensuring team members effectively execute their responsibilities.
- Coaching and Training: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to sales development representatives to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, prospecting techniques, messaging, and utilization of tools. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of individual team members, tracking key metrics such as call volume, lead generation, conversion rates, and others. Analyze performance data, identify trends, and take corrective actions to ensure the team meets or exceeds its targets.
- Process Improvement: Continually assess and improve sales development processes and strategies. Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with other teams, such as marketing and sales, to improve lead handoff and ensure a smooth sales cycle.
- Target Setting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the senior manager to set realistic targets and goals for the sales development team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Willing to work on EST (New York) or PST (San Francisco) timezone
- Experience in B2B sales for an enterprise SaaS company
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field of study
- Prior experience in managing a team of sales development representatives in a software/technology company
- Self-starter and critical thinker who can thrive in competitive and results-driver environments
- Has the ability to work independently with limited supervision
