Job Description
A manufacturer of high quality construction chemicals is in need of a Cement Technical Officer. Join a homegrown Filipino company as it becomes a global powerhouse in the construction industry!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical development and expertise (applications & products) in his zone.
- Definition and validation of technical assistance action plans in accordance to technical and commercial demands, and support to technical assistance provided by area sales managers (as needed).
- Validation of technical options before trials.
- Responsible for the organization of technical support activity.
- Responsible for the proper and successful execution of field industrial trials.
- Responsible for the documentation and publishing formal reports following each mission.
- Responsible for technical evolution of technical assistance tools defined with the BU and regional office.
- Responsible for the interface with the ASEAN Cement Technical Director in order to identify key actions and best demonstrated practices to be shared with other zones.
- Interface with research and development for his zone. Contribute to the product specification definitions for R&D projects according to technical tendencies.
- Follow up of field performance of new product developments (report and distribution).
- Responsible for the new products effective deployment.
- Responsible for maintaining cement market intelligence.
- Guarantor of technical expertise (application & products) in his zone.
- Report on technical tendencies, environmental tendencies, and the most recent solutions.
- Propose new products and evolution of existing product lines in response to analyses of market tendencies, competitive activity and results of field trials.
- Responsible for technical interface with key accounts.
- Coordination of actions according to strategy defined with ASEAN Cement Technical Manager
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: At least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Experience: At least 5 years working experience in cement/construction industry
- Technical knowledge of the cement industry
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Project management skills
- With a positive and problem-solving attitude
- Responsible and proactive
- Ability to form good relationships and to work within a team
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be willing to work in Paranaque
