Field Engineer  

Duties and responsibilities

• Provides point-of-sale terminal hardware and software technical support for the clients. This shall include monitoring, recording, and validating transactions with other internal teams such as dispatch and helpdesk;
• Conducts technical trainings (terminal orientation) for end users regarding hardware and software functionality, use, maintenance, and other technical and IT security know-hows;
• Ensures completeness and/or clear images of the Point of Sale Terminal and its peripheral details (e.g., CRC, host information, saleslip, wallet, software version, and serial numbers) to be saved and transacted in Pearl and/or sent and manually logged and uploaded via Helpdesk;
• Prepares, validates, and submits departmental reports (e.g., Engineering Activity Report (Ear), stock-on-hand, transportation reimbursement, and the like) on a regular basis;
• Collaborates with other teams or groups for more effective point-of-sale servicing, maintenance, and repair of point-of-sale terminals, and effective logging of activities relating to terminal profiling, installation, troubleshooting, pull-out, and repair;
• Works closely with the dispatch team to ensure immediate resolution of client-raised issues, meeting agreed service level agreements (SLA), and other matters that require coordination related to their service calls;
• Safekeeps, monitors movement, and accurately tracks inventory of company-issued equipment essential for point-of-sale servicing, such as but not limited to point-of-sale terminals and their peripherals, phone tablets, and SIM cards. The maintenance and tracking of the equipment shall be done using the company’s WMIS.
• Ensures that the implemented point-of-sale servicing methodologies are aligned with the department’s operating procedures, manuals, and other documentation for compliance;
• Engages in activities that will enhance knowledge in point-of-sale servicing and dispatching, customer service, discovering trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvement; and
• Performs duties and responsibilities analogous to the foregoing.

Job Qualifications

• Senior HighSchool graduate on a Tech-Voc strand, vocational courses related to computer servicing, installation, and repair.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Willing to report in Manila and work in the field. (Cavite, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque).
