Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Finance
- Reviews financial data and prepares monthly and annual reports
- Presents financial reports to board members and executives informal meetings
- Establishes and maintains financial policies and procedures for the Company
- Develop annual financial plans and projections for the Company
- Tracks the Company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Manage the preparation of the Company’s budget
II. Accounting
- Supervises end-of-period processes and supports the analysis of the periodical business performance, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitors the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, such as invoicing, and other transactions
- Ensures all functions and procedures for the accounting systems and record keeping
- Maintains and ensures accuracy of accounting systems and record keeping
- Leads in the documentation of all financial books and records
III. Treasury
- Ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short-term excess cash
- Oversee cash management banking and financial institution relationships
- Provides insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
IV. Compliance
- Ensure tax, legislative and statutory requirements are met
- Seeks to minimize tax liabilities of the Company
- Accountable for all strategic tax issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Head/AVP or other senior role specialized in Finance
- Must have at least 8 years of working experience in the related field
- Proven administrative, leadership and management experience in the areas of strategic planning, analysis, and organizational development
- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
- A proactive team player and self-starter who can demonstrate initiative with excellent organizational, team management and communication skills
- Able to motivate, maintain and develop an effective team
