Job Description
- Analyze spatial data through the use of mapping software
- Discover patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data
- Design digital maps with geographic data and other data sources
- Create shapefiles to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map
- Produce maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data
- Convert physical maps into a digital form for computer usage
- Perform data munging and cleaning to convert data into its desired form
- Manage a digital library of geographic maps in various file types
- Liaise and represent the company in meetings, seminars, and fora as deemed necessary
- Develop and manage project documents and disseminate meeting minutes
- Prepare technical reports with strict observance to deadlines
- Coordinate with relevant agencies for obtaining secondary data, as necessary
- Fieldwork such as but not limited to geotagging facilities and/or buildings
Minimum Qualifications

Preferably a graduate of BS Geography, BS Geology, BS Forestry or any related course

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word in particular)

1-3 years experience using mapping software such as ArcGIS and QGIS
