Job Description
- Managing parts of construction projects
- Overseeing building work
- Undertaking surveys
- Setting out sites and organizing facilities
- Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Supervising contracted staff
- Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
- Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
- Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
- Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to Site engineers work out on a construction site in all weathers and tend to work on one project at a time. Depending on the location of the project.
- Red-Line drawings MUST be updated DAILY
- Personal inspection of all construction and engineering work daily for workmanship, compliance and safety
- Daily Operations Meeting with Site Staff and subcontractors to be completed every morning
- Daily Production Reports completed and submitted no later than 1:00pm next day
- Daily QC Reports completed and submitted no later than 1:00pm next day. Site Engineer concurrence is required on QC and Safety Reports
- Daily QC Reports completed and submitted no later than 1:00pm next day. Site Engineer concurrence is required on Daily QC and Daily Safety Reports
- Production Log Book completed and Signed Daily
- Ensure ENDEC Builder’s Level and Transit are set up and checked daily.
- Schedule status updated every day. Update Project Activities with accurate start, finish and percent accomplishment every day.
- Submit CSIR for Significant Incidents
- Site security check competed every day
- Site housekeeping check completed every day
- Submit RFIs as required and RFI log checked and updated daily
- Maintain frequent phone contact with ENDEC CM staff daily
Minimum Qualifications
- Small team/site leadership skills
- Construction Management skills
- Quality Management skills
- Communication skills
- Computer Literacy/Use skills
- Complete understanding of construction management and sequencing for small-medium sized institutional facilities
- Thorough understanding of construction cost estimating and financing processes
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts
- Knowledge of the Design-Build construction project delivery process
- Complete knowledge of construction quality control procedure
