Job Description
- Solve problems in a way that paves the path for those coming after you
- Propose innovative designs & develop robust solutions
- Write well designed, testable and reliable code as you ship features that make dogs happy
- Promote best practices to continually improve code quality and team productivity.
- Collaborate with fellow developers to craft maintainable code and communicate the new capabilities to non-developer co-workers who will be excited to use new tools and offer great customer experiences
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduate of BS Computer Science or equivalent
- Preferably with 2-3 years of experience in a startup working environment
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Must understand UI/UX
- Must have extensive knowledge of the following web application frameworks and languages: Ruby On Rails, C#, .ASP, .NET, Java Script, MYSQL, HTML.
- Has a working knowledge of Web page design using .NET, HTML5, or JavaScript & CSS
- Must be familiar with CMS (Drupal, Joomla, etc.)
- Working knowledge of RDBMS: MySQL Server and/or Oracle
- Understanding of methodologies: UML, OOAD, Unified Process, XP, Patterns
- Working knowledge of Source Code Control tools
Preferred Competencies:
- Experience in working on education websites, a plus
- Ability to act independently on low complexity assignments
- Ability to produce quality code on schedule
- Ability to identify and solve problems of low to moderate complexity
- Ability to work in a team environment
