Chief Operating Officer  

Operational Excellence

• Collaborate with the CEO and the rest of the Company Management to develop and drive organizational vision, operational strategy, budget, and hiring needs
• Translate the Company strategy into actionable processes, systems, and policies to support the company’s rapid growth while simultaneously mitigating risks
• Oversee the Company’s day-to-day operations to ensure the successful execution of the operating plan
• Define and monitor operational KPIs to continuously evaluate the efficiency of business procedures and apply improvements
• Manage the Operations team
• Communicate operational strategies to employees, building employee alignment with company goals (and vice versa), and promoting company culture and vision
• Oversee legal activities, e.g. client contracts, HR, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents
• Ensure operations are up to date on policies, regulations, and legal rules and guidelines

Human Resources

• Oversee all aspects of Human Resources for 70+ employees, including:
  • Headcount and resource planning
  • Recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention
  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Performance management
  • Professional training and development
• Lead the HR team to ensure excellent service and support to our team at large
• Build a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members are productive and thriving

Stakeholder Relationships

• Support CEO in fundraising and investor relations initiatives
• Work with CEO to drive Board meeting material development and the process for Board meeting planning

• Bachelor's degree is required. MBA or other Master’s degree is a plus but not required
• Minimum of 7+ years experience in mid- to senior operational positions
• Previous experience in management consulting or private equity is a plus
• Proven leadership skills in scaling a business and managing a team in a fast-growing company
• Flexible, independent, forward thinking with a hands-on mentality and low-ego approach to the role; willingness to lead by example and to engage with all aspects of the business
• Genuine interest in / knowledge of strategic planning and operations management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as communications skills
• Data-driven decision making
• Comfortable in dealing with external parties, such as investors, customers, and other partners; able to serve as a strong representative for the Company in any environment
