Job Description
- Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts and report to Collection Manager
- Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
- Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates.
- Creating and maintaining credit history files by documenting daily collections activity
- Analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness of account/client using external credit risk management tools/reports
- Resolving account disputes and billing discrepancies
- Performing account/payment reconciliations
- Responding to credit inquiries from external and internal customers
- Analyze delinquent accounts and develop recommendations for resolution
- Identifying bad debt or financial exposure
- Identify & drive process improvement
- Identify gaps in process and drive process/systems changes through effective project management
Minimum Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 1 year of corporate collections experience including interaction with external customer base
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Skilled in negotiation
- Problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with targets
- Patience and ability to manage stress
