Senior Infrastructure Analyst  

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst will be a critical member of the Global Wintel Server Infrastructure team at Ecolab, Inc. in helping to define and engineer server infrastructure standards, contributing information, recommendations, and participating in major IT initiatives, in being involved in forthcoming technologies in the industry, and in providing level 3 proactive operational support of the company’s crucial systems and business applications with 5,000 servers and 50,000 employees worldwide.

This position is in a high-paced and demanding environment which requires excellent time management, clear organizational skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate is a self-starter, self-disciplined with their work, and often going above and beyond what is needed/requested. Furthermore, as a global company, this role will work alongside many IT associates with a multi-cultural and multi-lingual background with English as a second language.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of IT experience
• 5+ years of Windows Server experience
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced expertise in VMware ESX 5.x and 6.x including:
  • Install/Configure in an HP blade environment
  • Fiber-channel and NFS storage backend
  • Distributed Switching
  • Advanced troubleshooting using ESXCLI commands and log reviewing
  • PowerCLI scripting in a global scale with ~300 ESX hosts and ~4000 virtual machines
  • Performance metrics analyses
• Advanced expertise on Windows Servers Operating Systems, focusing on most recent 2016 and 2012 versions including:
  • Microsoft Failover Cluster Technology
  • DFS Namespace and Replication
  • File and Print Server Administration
  • PerfMon Analysis
  • SysInternals Tools
• Powershell Scripting
  • Inventorying
  • Administration Automation
  • Break/Fix scenarios
• Advanced expertise on Cloud environments:
  • Creation of automation scripts for IaaS and PaaS for both Windows and Linux servers (MS Azure Environment)
  • Assist with the design, deployment and support of Cloud Server/Services (MS Azure Environment)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including:
  • Load balancing
  • Proxy/Reverse Proxy
  • Packet trace analyses
• Advanced expertise with HP hardware including:
  • C7000 enclosures running Virtual Connect FlexFabric Technology
  • BL460c Blade models
  • Maintenance of complete enclosure and its devices including firmware upgrades
  • Working knowledge with Cisco UCS Chassis hardware
  • Working knowledge with VCE vBlock hardware
  • Change Management using ITIL Standards

  • Background knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection or other corporate level AV solutions
