Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that Contracts and Purchase Orders are placed and executed on time and materials are tracked and delivered ahead of the required at site date through the use of a Procurement Tracking Report
- Reviews and approves tender documents, bidders list, bid summary, award and recommendation, responds to commercial clarifications and conduct negotiations
- Lead other technical buyers
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 7 - 8 years of work experience in Purchasing / Procurement.
- With at least 3 years in the cement / mining industry or equivalent.
- 5 years as a supervisory position
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree preferably an Engineering Graduate.
- Hands on exposure on both procurement and contracts management.
- Must have in depth knowledge with SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
