Procurement Operations Manager  

Job Summary

• Responsible for planning, organizing, coordination, control and direction of the Purchasing section’s operation.
• Oversees the work activities of the unit and sees to it that proper measures leading to a responsive support system to operational requirement is attained.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plans, formulates, and sets Plant Component Performance objectives for the section.
• Plans and organizes the operations of the Purchasing Section that responds to the immediate and long term programs of the company.
• Executes control measures as to meet Company’s objective in purchasing activities.
• Fast tracks procurements of materials, equipment, and machinery.
• Provides adequate, up to date information to allow the end-users to manage and adjust, if necessary, affected operation.
• Identifies area of potential liability within the operations by knowing the performance standards required in these areas.
• Purchases supplies in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with the Department Heads regarding Purchase Requisition and Purchase Orders, and make recommendations.
• Reviews and evaluates final canvass sheet for final approval.
• Executes control of the requirements of suppliers for accreditation.
• Conducts plant visits to assess Quality Systems.
• Ensures that the proper systems and procedures for the procurements of materials or suppliers are conformed with.
• Monitors and handles the distribution and assignment of the PRs to appropriate staff.
• Reviews and verifies the correctness of all accomplished canvass sheets.
• Supports and shows ownership at all levels of health and safety via involvement, training, and communication.
• Ensures the effective implementation of Quality Management System, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) and dissemination of the Policies and Objectives there at to personnel within his/ her area of responsibility.
• Performs other related duties as maybe assigned to him from time to time by his superior in the attainment of Departmental objectives.

• At least a Bachelor's / College degree in:
  • Business Studies
  • Business Administration
  • Business Management
  • Commerce
  • Economics
  • Marketing or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of work experience in the related field.
• Preferably with experience as an Assistant Manager / Manager specializing in:
  • Purchasing
  • Inventory
  • Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
