Quantity Surveyor  

Responsibilities:

• Run cost analyses of the various types of civil engineering work as a forerunner to tender preparation.
• Assist in the selection, pricing and sourcing of construction materials, where applicable.
• Factor in the implications of health and safety regulations, where necessary
• Identify commercial risks and help develop suitable responses.

• Prepare and/or review the tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, with the designer, contractor and the client.
• Assist in the selection of subcontractors, agree the scope of services and allocate work.
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project.
• Identify risks surrounding the project and the likelihood of cost variation.
• Support in tracking any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
• Value completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors.
• Liaise between site managers, project managers, site engineers and the client.

• Provide related inputs in periodic summary reports for the client and other relevant stakeholders.
• Advise on any outstanding contractual claims remaining.

This position reports directly to the Site Construction Manager

• Preferably a graduate of Civil Engineering; other engineering trades welcome

• At least with 3 years relevant experience

• Licensed engineers an advantage

• Willing to be assigned outside Metro Manila
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Keen attention to details and with a good working knowledge of the construction industry
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills
