Job Description

DSM Manila LLP is a shared services subsidiary for White & Case LLP, one of the world’s leading law firms. Established in 2007 with an initial group of 5 employees, the company has grown to its current staff of 300 as it continues to provide the best solutions support for all White & Case offices.

The HRIS Reporting Analyst is responsible for consulting with business users to fully understand data and reporting needs; generating semi-complex to complex queries and reports; and performing specialized analyses of employee data; providing advanced services related to HCM reporting, Excel or Access databases or system design. Responsible for turning data into decision aiding information through the production of HR reports and is comfortable working with large amounts of data. He may be responsible for developing enterprise-wide human capital metrics to support the business needs, including but not limited to determining metrics needs, consulting with HR functional groups and business units. The analyst will play a key role in developing metrics to identify trends, benchmarks, and ROI modeling for management and users to understand the data in an easy and simple format.

As an HRIS Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining reports, report templates, and dashboards by leveraging data from various sources including the firm’s HCM systems, Finance systems, MS excel and MS Access. Extensive use of HR systems in the production of reports and information as well as the creation of report templates.
  • Queries or extracts data from the various HR systems using the following report writing tools Oracle BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, and PS Query. Reviews ad-hoc reports, including but not limited to turnover statistics, headcount data, etc., to ensure data integrity and usefulness as compared with request.
  • Schedules, designs and executes standard and semi-complex Adhoc reports to retrieve data from the Employee Repository. Researches, troubleshoots and resolves data anomalies. Initiates data validation and ensure data integrity across data sources.
  • Interact with internal users to establish and clarify requirements in order to develop report specifications. Consults with end users on medium to complex level reporting requests. Consults with end user to determine client reporting needs as to how data can be provided to support strategic business decisions. Responds to user questions regarding data sources, with explanations of data elements and regarding the limitations of specific data analysis projects.
  • Performs mid-level data quality checks using advanced knowledge of the repository and other data sources to identify EUL problems and data anomalies proactively prior to report delivery to the users. Resolves semi-complex data integrity and escalates problems outside area of expertise to HRIS management.
  • May generate required annual, quarterly or ad-hoc reporting for government agency and legal compliance.
  • Detailed understanding of HR reporting for both local, regional and global data formats
  • Coordinates process for testing of new releases or data elements added to repository; develops testing scripts; plans timelines for testing and production release; executes testing scripts for testing of new data elements and releases; documents and analyzes results.
  • Assists in special projects as assigned to support HR initiatives and the Centers of Excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

For you to be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or related degree
  • 3 to 5 years of BPO / HR Shared Services work experience in either HR Operations or HR Systems role for a global multinational, blue-chip, professional or financial services organization
  • 3+ years of HRIS experience required Peoplesoft, PeopleTools, PS Query, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, a firm understanding of HR data and/or other relevant HR reporting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new functional concepts quickly and work independently to evaluate, analyze, and solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology to solving business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office products used for analysis and presentation of data, specifically MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and MS Visio including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and query building.
  • Demonstrated skills in graphical and visual representation of data.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing and reporting fundamentals
  • Demonstrated ability to understand new databases and data structures
  • Ability to collaborate and actively contribute in a strong team environment, yet able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Client-focused attitude. Experience providing client service to internal and external clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, using a comprehensive approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and strict deadlines. Must have the ability to re-prioritize work as required
  • Experience with project management (planning, organizing, and managing resources to execute the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience identifying potential issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the firm.
