Job Description
We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited about Salesforce, Web Technologies, and anything regarding Fitness and Lifestyle. The Junior Front End Developer role will work with our technical team and clients to provide industry-leading, quality and maintainable solutions, which will help enable our client's success. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated front end developer at the junior to mid developer level. You must be delivery and outcome focused, with the ability to problem solve, take responsibility and contribute to a team-first culture.
General Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of front-end digital assets
- Develop new digital assets utilizing existing, packaged or customized applications
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Perform complete testing of digital assets developed – unit and system
- Analyze and satisfy business requirements and design solutions
- Participate in project estimation and integration sessions
- Understand specifications provided
- Complete technical analysis, design, coding, and testing for development and support initiatives
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to items developed
- Ensure applications meet requirements and desired quality and signs off on all technical aspects of work
- Employ best practices for designing scalable, extensible, secure applications
- Any other task/duty as directed by client/management
Minimum Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Diploma or university degree in the field of Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- At least 2 years of front-end development experience
- Experience in creating dynamic content blocks in email studio SFMC, litmus and return path a plus
- API exposure - ideally working with SFMC endpoints
- A good understanding of data-driven event message flows i.e. SFMC journey builder or ETL processes
- Experience with responsive email development and best practice - ideally with Salesforce Marketing Cloud exposure
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with assorted Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, XML
- Exposure to amp scripting or ssjs in SFMC cloud pages.
- Knows Javascript, and has exposure to Javascript frameworks including Angular, React or Vue
- Exposure to CSS pre-processor like SASS and LESS
- Exposure to CMS platforms preferred - Umbraco a plus
Good To Have
- Exposure to CMS platforms preferred - Umbraco a plus
- Exposure in Agile software development methodology
- Ability to define and investigate problems
- Must be able to work in a very fast-paced global environment
- Maintain a strong understanding of the industry and enterprise-wide trends and stay up-to-date on
- emerging technologies and apply to daily work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
