Managing Editor  

We are looking to partner with a Managing Editor to oversee our magazine's daily publishing operations. The Managing Editor will be reporting to the editor in chief and supervise writers, editors, and other staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and manage all daily operations

2. Hire, coach and supervise personnel

3. Collaborate with the editor in chief to determine issues’ content and topics

4. Coordinate editorial publications and meetings

5. Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors

6. Control schedules and enforce deadlines (for writers, photographers, designers etc.)

7. Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary

8. Assist in evaluating finalized copy for compliance with policies, style, and tone

• Proven experience as managing editor or relevant role

• Exceptional ability in copywriting and editing

• Abilities in planning and coordinating people and operations

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Outstanding communication and people abilities

• Reliability and efficiency

• Attention to detail

• BSc/BA in journalism or relevant field
