Job Description

  • Provide on-site support for proofing of new ink developments.
  • Provide on-site support for the commercial run of inks, adjust colors as necessary and help provide troubleshooting to address quality concerns.
  • Accomplish Field Service Report and Customer Service Report Sheet for all jobs run at press-site and submit to Technical Chemists, highlighting important points or concerns encountered.
  • Collect wet samples of inks adjusted at the press, submit to Technical Chemists so formulations can be adjusted accordingly.
  • Support Technical Chemists in color matching and validation of new formulations received from DICMY when in the DICPH laboratory.
  • Support Technical Chemists in preparing samples for machine trials requested by clients when in the DICPH laboratory.
  • Support QC Chemists in quality control of inks for delivery to clients, adhering to the ink specifications indicated in the DIC Standard Catalogue.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least a 2-year associate degree or with Senior High School Diploma.
  • One to two years of laboratory experience in ink or related industry is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a good attitude and can work with others as part of a team.
  • Good color perception
  • Must be able to write and communicate clearly and document correctly data and results of trial/ proofing/ or commercial in the FSR and CSRS.
  • Can work overtime as may deem necessary.
